How to Get There | Public Transport: Regular train services stop at either Windsor or Mt Druitt railway stations. 674 Bus Windsor to Mt Druitt (WestBus) operates between Mt Druitt and Windsor railway station via the Complex on a limited service from Monday to Sunday including public holidays. Telephone 131 500 for current train/bus timetable information. City Rail Information Private Transport: From Blacktown drive towards Richmond on the Richmond/Blacktown Road, then turn left into the Northern Road before the George Street roundabout. The John Morony Correctional Complex is 800 metres up the road on the left. From Penrith drive towards Windsor on Cranebrook Road, turn right at the roundabout into The Northern Road, you will pass the Waste Services depot and just past this depot on the right is the John Morony Correctional Complex. A visitor's car park is located to the left of the Centres' main entrance. |

Education & Skill Development | Laundry Services, Ration Packing, Print Unit and Ground Maintenance are all industry units within the centre. Accredited training supports all industries at the Outer Metropolitan Multi Purpose Correctional Centre which employs offenders giving them opportunity to learn new skills. The Adult Education and Vocational Training Institute (AEVTI) provides literacy, numeracy and communications courses in all centres. Many centres also offer vocational courses such as Information Technology, Horticulture, Construction, Visual Arts and Contemporary Craft. AEVTI contracts TAFE NSW and other providers to deliver courses in a range of vocational areas such as Hospitality, Business Skills, Building, Cleaning, Transport, Aboriginal Studies, Horticulture and various WorkCover licenses. AEVTI also co-ordinates traineeships and apprenticeships and offers support for distance education. Each centre has a library giving inmates access to a range of fiction, non-fiction and reference books. Inmates can also login to a secure internal network called the Inmate Legal Portal which gives them access to material of a legal nature. |

Contact with Outside World | Family Visits: Saturdays, Sundays & Public Holidays 12:00-15:00 Lunch is from 11:15 to midday. During this lunch break, visitors will NOT be able to enter or exit the visit section. Also visitors will NOT be processed between 11:15 midday or after 14:45. Legal Visits: Legal practitioners may visit 7 Days per week from 09:00 to 15:00. A letter must be sent to the Centre advising details of visit. |
