Poetry (26/04/2021):
NEIGHBOUR DAY
You’re a friend and confidante.
The boys don’t know it, but we want,
Help with your philanthropy?
And we love your scones and tea.
And all the effort you put in.
Cause in the end, we all win!
Today was such a special day.
The gaol life had gone away!
So great to have such a break.
From this life it does take.
Away from our humanity.
When released, what will we be?
How does living in a pen?
Ensure we don’t stuff up again?
At least today, gave a goood feel.
Of something outside, something real.
It’s positive, it’s something great.
Something we appreciate.
To Sharon, Justice, and Alan too!
What would we do, without you?
We wouldn’t even get a start.
We know you all work from the heart!
Do stuff money, just can’t buy.
Give your time, and always try.
To do stuff that will better us.
With troubled people, make a fuss.
Try and help them, thru rough times.
Support with love, and be kind.
We know your hearts, in a good place.
When we deal with what we face.
Your support, and your help.
When alone, by ourself.
Locked up in a segro cell.
These painful moments can be hell.
Your presence can be like a light.
That guides us till we get things right.
It means a lot to be aware.
We have confidante to share.
Real troubles we can have a chat.
And to not, be judged on that!
Neighbour Day, a huge success.
Neighbour Day, was the best!
For a short time, we feel free.
Free one day, will be me.
Thanks for everything you do.
Thanks for simply being you.
The good times with, us all together.
When I look back I’ll always treasure
