From a handwritten letter to an inbox, and back

iExpress creates communication between people in detention and their family, friends, and community. Detainees’ handwritten letters are scanned, then emailed to recipients from the prisoner’s iExpress email address. Replies are then printed and given to the prisoner.

Justice Action will not publish webpages that include anything defamatory, aggressive or showing ill will, and requires all participants to uphold these principles.

Prison censorship still applies.

The prisons’ censorship of letters entering and leaving prisons strictly applies to all material.

Emails meet community standards.

Emails passing through iExpress must not be unlawful, aggressive or offensive.
