How to Get There | Public Transport Regular train services stop at either Windsor or Mt Druitt railway stations. 674 Bus Windsor to Mt Druitt ( WestBus) operates between Mt Druitt and Windsor railway station via the Complex on a limited service from Monday to Sunday including public holidays. Visit SydneyTrains for timetables. Private Transport From Blacktown, drive towards Richmond on the Richmond Road. Turn left onto the Northern Road. The John Morony Complex is 800m on the left. From Penrith, travel towards Windsor. Turn off the roundabout onto the Northern Road. Go past the Waste Services Depot - Castlereagh Landfill Depot - and turn right for the John Morony Complex. There is ample car parking facilities available. |

Education & Skill Development | Inmates are employed in workshops specialising in metal work, powder coating, upholstery, laundry and maintenance services. These workshops produce products for government, private and commercial organisations. Employment is also available in internal and external grounds maintenance, wildlife care, building maintenance, clerical work and full-time education. All inmates, other than those excluded by illness or disability, are expected to work. The Adult Education and Vocational Training Institute (AEVTI) provides literacy, numeracy and communications courses in all centres. Many centres also offer vocational courses such as Information Technology, Horticulture, Construction, Visual Arts and Contemporary Craft. The Complex has a world famous wildlife centre which gives inmates the chance to work with the NSW Wildlife Information and Rescue Service (WIRES) and Sydney Metropolitan Wildlife Services, caring for injured, orphaned and sick animals. |
